This Week in Quakertown – Cheesesteaks and Coke

Posted in Quakertown on October 4, 2008 by David Smith

Thanks to Dave Fox for alerting us to this breaking news: Beloved (or, at least long-standing) Quakertown institution Lee’s Hoagie House was the site of a drug operation. That’s right, you could order your hoagies with “extra olives”, if you know what I mean. (Actually, I don’t even know what that means, so nevermind.)

Philadelphia resident Irving Fleming, 69, “was allegedly selling drugs out of Quakertown’s Route 309 Lee’s Hoagie House while he worked as an employee there.”

Wow. Just … wow. The entire cast and crew of Fan Film ate lunch there during filming. I thought the fries tasted a little crack-y.
